Description
I'm rebuilding a lot stuff on cbctf1, also renaming it Space CTF, so ppl can remember it more easily.
What's to do:
-retexture using eX and trak4/5 texture sets. The less remains from dsi and evil* the better
-rebuild some parts of the geometry, make it more detailed, more "pro" work.
-eliminating spawnfrag-camping by adding shelters
-adding side-objectives: ability to destroy specific power generators, so some jumppads are disabled for 30 seconds or so (needs code change though)
-making some of the jumppads red/blue team only
-cleaning up shaders for the map
-new skybox?

Today I've been mapping all day on the map.
I've added a lot of eye candy, and a shelter against camping.
For that, I've used a texture from http://www.digitalcraftsman.com/textureBin/pages/sfoil.htm.
Blender site claims it's free, though I think I'll have to email the author for permission to use.

Still needs to be done:
-make new jumppads
-add the destroyable targets (and create code for that)
-recolour for blue and copy paste
-clean up entities
-clean up shaders, move all shader and texture files into space ctf's own shader file and texture directory

Lot's of work done.
+Finished re-texturing, the map now almost uses only trak5 / eX textures.
+Retextured blue side too
+Made new jumppad model, but looks like crap. Maybe morphed or tZork can do something about it.
+Added more shelter, geometry changed here and there.
What still needs to be done:
-moving all shaders I've used to space_ctf.shader
-moving all extra textures to space_ctf
-player clipping
-hinting

Some comments:
after a bit playtesting, it turned out the shields don't give enough protection. I'll work on it to lower them (already wip).
Also, I'm certain the launchpads need to go - to be replaced by something better looking. Any valunteers to model something similar?
Two textures are missing form pk3 and SVN Nexuiz - I'll search for them asap.

New jumppads added, made by Morphed. In my own stupid way, I've created red, green and blue versions.
I'll upload it to git once I know how it works :D

I will be making a space skybox very soon. The space skyboxes in Nexuiz are very low detail. It will have 3 suns to represent the star system Alpha Centuri.

Few things to mention about the map:
It's almost finished. What it currently lacks:
-teleporter models (in 3 different colors: red, green and blue), and a good generator model.
-The relay_* system tZork is working on is half finished, but working. Once he can get it into mergeble shape, I'll implement it in the whole map, and we'll be able to playtest.
-Acording to playtest, item placement could change
-Maybe a different skybox
-Choose background music for the map.

Yesterday I've pushed the map into git.
There are two things left to do:
-make a different teleporter model
-PLAYTESTING
Soon I'll upload the auto-build script too.
